Civitas is a community-driven, collaborative, city-building game in the 4X strategy genre inspired by world-building and economy-based games like Civilization, Settlers of Catan, and Eve Online. Developed by Directive Games on the Ethereum blockchain, it is set to be launched in 2023. Its native token is $CITI, and it will be playable on PC and mobile.
In the game, every citizen can build unique structures in their plot(s) of land with unique structures and use items they’ve acquired or crafted. Anything built on the player’s land will influence its statistics and ability to produce passive resources. Players will have to work individually and collectively to level up their city, compete for control, form alliances, and battle against or cooperate with other cities. It gives players a chance to be self-governed and have complete freedom over forms of government, religion, financial systems etc. Moreover, players will get to experience augmented reality and participate via geolocation.
